Have you heard Malibu's? I don't know where they fell into the Altec lineup, but they don't strike me as being low end, or even midline. I haven't followed pricing on them, but given that you can probably find 3 sets of 19's for every set of Malibu's it doesn't surprise me that a nice set of Malibu's would fetch a higher price.

Most Definitely....... except when I try it. Sometimes my multiple large pictures just aren't enough with some items.

Yes they sound real nice but I prefer my 19's and my 604's !

Why you qouting me on that ? I never said they were low end.What I had said is they usually sell for less than half of $3050.And yes I follow prices on all things Altec.

Nor should it ! But I assure you this is the exception and not the rule... Me personally I would much rather have a speaker that sounds better than just looks prettier !
